Hard Dock in Decatur

It was AWESOME the chicken wings and onion rings. And was cheap.

I was passing through and found this place convenient to the hotel I was staying. This place has great service ( Kaitlin was awesome) and grear local atmosphere. I had the crab cake platter, I spend a lot of time in Baltimore MD (crab cake Capitol of the world) so not exactly what I was expecting but everything was fresh and reasonably priced. I'll definitely visit again when passing through. Oh, and absolutely gorgeous view of the Tennessee river.

Awful. Just plain awful. We went a few months back, and it wasn’t bad (of course, I had a salad that didn’t need to be cooked). Thinking we would go back for another good meal and wow, were we wrong. The drinks were great, but the bartender wasn’t attentive and we were the only people at the bar. She wasn’t very friendly either. A long wait later we got our food. My chicken was underdone and tasted like it was looked in VERY old oil. My friend got the catfish. GREY and UNDERCOOKED. Last time I checked, fish was white meat. Overall horrible experience, and we were both incredibly sick from it.

Service was lacking but food was good. I had the sampler platter with kern nuggets mozorella sticks and crab balls. It surprized me because i didnt realize crabs had balls and then when they delivered the platter to the table i was amazed to see how big the crab balls were. I mean i cant imagine how hard it is for those poor crab to drag those balls around. I guess they must be bouyant and that helps them out. Anyways the food was good. I also had some white ball that i wasnt sure what it was but it was pretty good too. Overall the food was good.

Beautiful view of the river. Cute bar tenders. Ok service. Weak signature drink, but the house crabs balls were pretty good...It is a great place to go chat with a friend in a nice outdoors bar ...

Awesome place, Katlyn the bartender is always cheerful and has your orders promptly. Name that tune on Thursday s great crowd to play with, met a lot of nice locals. Good times, great view of the river off the back deck.

Good atmosphere on the water. Bands play live on the weekend. Decent food with full bar.

Enjoyed the band. The beer, was beer. And the food was hot, the onion rings were good, the french fries were fine. I had fried cat fish, and usually I don't like fried, and I was right. But a lot of folks were having a real good time.

The food was delicious! If you order the wings for an appetizer be prepared to wait about 15 min they cook them FRESH. Service was very polite and helpful but slow for a Wednesday night. They may have been short handed though! Must try on a Friday or Saturday night!

Beautiful location, right on the water. Large open deck. The food, service, & sunset view is fantastic. Except... They let people smoke, which is a mood killer. But the worst thing is that after the gorgeous sunset, the mosquitoes come out in extremes. We were getting eaten alive. I joked that they should serve bug spray with their meals. The waitress said she would be right back with it. I thought she was joking, but she wasn't. She came back with a can & apologized because they were down to 1 can & another table had been using it. She commented that they should own stock in the stuff. Even with the OFF, it was too overwhelming & we left before finishing our food. It's too bad they don't bother to try to resolve the problem.

A favorite place for dinner on the river. Beautiful views of the bridge and the river. Food is excellent! If you are not on a diet try the crab balls. There are light selections like blackened and grilled fish as well as peel and eat shrimp and salads. The sunset is not to be missed!

Waited forever to get a drink first time there and was sitting at the bar....second time i visited I waited so long for service that u left

We went with a group, and only a portion of our group could order food, they closed the kitchen and then we waited 2 hours for our food, when our food came out it was wrong and cold. Asked to talked to the manager and she wouldn't fix anything and not even get the rest of our food. Couldn't hardly get a drink. If you don't have the employees to properly serve your customers then you shouldn't have opened. Cause customers suffer.

Lovely place with a fabulous view

Wonderful view! Food was good. It was getting a bit "rowdy" early with our family there.

Couldn't get a seat, no one seemed to care if we stayed or left. We left and went to Josies and had a great meal, drinks, had nice time, spent a lot of money and left a generous tip.

My first time here and my stay was short. This place is nothing like I expected but worse. I will not be back, the staff was rude and unorganized.

I'm throwing out a 5-star for one man that took care of a large party twice in one day. I don't know his last name but his first name was Josh and he took care of a fun group of people and made us have a great time. Josh you're a one of many dudes the deserve way more than the tip we gave you and we all appreciate it. You made a day for me and my brother epic and you have no idea how much it meant for his friends to be a large part of my day tonight me uncomfortably happy. We will see you again! Thank you for the good memories

Besides the country music lol, super chill atmosphere, great service, good food and drink options, fun games to play (giant jenga, giant connect 4, bean bag toss, and ring on a string game)

Average food, only bottled beer, nothing local. Service was good. Seems like the only place to eat when you are boating. Plenty of dock space, 24 hr credit card marine gas around the corner. Nice view.

Nice quaint place by the water with outside seating that over looks the water. Food is really good but very limited menu. The only reason I'm giving it a 4 because it opens at 4pm and the extremely limited space so get there early

I got the grilled shrimp and my boyfriend got the creole shrimp. However mine was spicy and his was sweet? Bushwacker and crab bites were good though. Love the views, vibes, and jenga. Only complaint is not really in their control.. smell from the cat food plant drifted across the water during dinner.

The way you run your business demonstrates what you think of your customers or potential customers. I went to the Hard Rock Cafe a few days ago, say Thursday 01/09/2020. The website says the business opens at 3 pm. I arrive at 3 and a sign is posted stating the cafe opens at 4 pm. I departed and ate somewhere else. I returned on Tuesday night 01/14/2020 at around 8:45 pm since the website states they close at 11 pm. Guess what, wrong again! They close at 9 pm. A young woman who works there said she would have the cook prepare something but I did not want to inconvenience the cook since I’m sure he was wanting to go home. What kind of jerk owns this business? Is he just lazy or just doesn’t care if he inconveniences people who see his website and go there expecting to eat. Like I said, just a complete, I don’t care jerk owner.

Love the atmosphere. Love the water. Love the bushwackers. Great place to hang out and watch sports. Loved going here with my boyfriend on a date night to listen to music as well as an afternoon quick lunch to enjoy the water and chicken fingers.

Location location location. This restaurant has a beautiful view across the Tennessee River. I ate the crab balls appetizer and they were very good. The server was nice and efficient as well.

After attending the fine arts festival, I was looking for something unique for the family to do. We were pleasantly surprised with the amazing scenery, superb food choices, out of this world pricing and great customer service by Bradee. The entire family gives you 10 stars. We will definitely return.

The food is okay, service is great, but they have a big problem with insects. Sat on the dock for dinner a few nights ago-after a short meal, we were covered with big bites. The water in the area is dirty and not circulating. It's a breeding area for nats, mosquitoes and chiggers. Had to take my daughter to the hospital due to the number of bites all over her arms and legs. Here's a suggestion to the lame management-get some citronella candles or some type of system to eliminate your issue.

I love sitting outside by the river. Great food and fantastic service!!
